I blogged two days in a row while I am at home...amazing isnt it :)
My dad is feeling better. Tomorrow he is probably going to go to work. I went to the doctors today. He examined my knee and said there was nothing terribly wrong with it. In other words, I do not have to have surgery on it. Yippee. He did say that I have a muscle that he thinks that gets strained when I run and do sports so he gave me medicine for it (anti-inflamatory).
It is stranged to be home. I have no really pressing things to do. Like no homework or work or meetings. This is very strange to me. However, I do need this break before I go back to school and try to tackle my crasy semester. I am going to try to take some classes here at the community college. I do not know if that will work out or not. Ill keep you all posted about that. I did go to the community college to talk about getting a syllubus for my spanish class and to talk about taking a class during this semester break. The guy looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about. (which he probably didnt understand me).
My mom and I went to Wal Mart to pick up some things. After we had checked-out, I told mom that people here are different than in TX. In TX, the people seem to be more friendly. A Texan cashier will talk to you and ask about your day and if you have found everything all right. Here in california, the cashier talks to you like you have no idea what you are doing and they seem to be cold. I guess I am just used to that Texan friendliness. I do miss that here in california.
I also went to the library to check out some books. I need to read something besides text books. (bet you cant guess what type of books I picked up...history of course :P ). This library in town has nothing really, but I did find some. The point I want to make is noisey floors in a library is not cool. Isnt the point in a library - to be quiet. Also, this library fines people if you put a hold on a book and you do not pick it up. Strange isnt it. Oh, and they also have books to rent. You actually have to pay money that you do not get back to borrow a book. Even stranger. This library is screwed up if you ask me. And since I am on the topic of books, do you have any ideas of books for me to read while I am home. (if i can find those books). I welcome all suggestions.
It is strange not having a car and the independence I have at school. My brother does not like it when I drive his car. I miss my car. It is strange going from driving a truck to an older car. You should see me driving. The emergency brake in the car is not where it is supposed to be :) I also miss doing whatever I want whenever I want to. I also miss the randomness of campus life. This made me think of what those that do not go to college are missing out on. College is definately the best years of a person's life. (that is my opinion in my short life)
I think I am done rambling on for today. I do know I can go on and on. But if I did that. What will I post about the next time :)
